The employer’s arbitrary and haphazard return to office (RTO) mandates have caused many of us unnecessary hardship. The AFS Group has taken several steps to challenge management’s actions; so far, we have:
25 July 2024It is with great sadness that we learned the news of the passing of Edward (Ed) Evashuk. Ed was a longtime member of the AFS Southern Alberta Subgroup, and staunch Union activist.

17 June 2024Work to develop and implement a proactive Pay Equity Plan at the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) has been ongoing, and committee members have been spending multiple days per week with UTE, PSAC, Unrepresented, and employer representatives to complete a Pay Equity Plan.

14 May 2024The AFS Group Annual General Meeting will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at the Delta Ottawa City Centre (virtual and in-person). The AFS Group By-Laws provide for ninety-three (93) delegates including the eleven (11) members of the AFS Group Executive.

24 November 2023The AFS Group is pleased to announce that our members have voted to accept the tentative agreement reached with CRA on September 16, 2023. We anticipate signing our new collective agreement on December 14th, following management completing their ratification process.

5 October 2023It is with great sadness that we announce that Paul Skinner passed away peacefully on September 2, 2023, at age 68. Paul was surrounded by family including his wife Anna, and daughters Marena and Melanie.
4 October 2023We are sad to share that, after a courageous battle against cancer, Joel Reisman passed away peacefully on September 19, 2023, surrounded by immediate family. Joel was a husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and brother. Joel was also a beloved member of our union family.
